• Certified by authorised Commissioners of Oaths
  Every document on Oaths.co.za™ is certified by a duly appointed Commissioner of Oaths, acting under the authority of the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oaths Act, 1963.
• Aligned with South African law
  Certifications are performed in accordance with Regulation 6 of Government Notice R1258 of 1972, which governs the duties of Commissioners of Oaths and prohibits charging for the act of certification itself.
• Verifiable digital records
  Each certification is supported by a cryptographically sealed ledger record and a unique OathsVault™ QR code, allowing instant verification of authenticity.
•  Important limitation
  Oaths.co.za™ does not perform affidavits, sworn statements, declarations, or affirmations. These must be commissioned in person under Regulation 10 of GN R1258 of 1972 

• POPIA compliant
  Oaths.co.za™ complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and is registered with the Information Regulator (Reg. No. 101393). 
• Secure cloud infrastructure
  Documents are processed and stored using Microsoft Azure’s enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, protected by strong encryption and secure access controls. 
• Independent security verification
  Our platform security is independently verified through TrustSite®, reinforcing transparency and trust. 
• Tamper-evident verification
  Cryptographic document sealing together with OathsVault™ QR verification ensures that certified copies remain tamper-evident and easily verifiable. 

Every certification is performed by a Commissioner of Oaths in good standing with a recognised professional body, including:

• SAIPA – Professional Accountants
• SAICA – Chartered Accountants
• IRBA – Registered Auditors
• Legal Practice Council – Attorneys and Advocates
   

Each Commissioner is individually vetted, verified, and personally accountable for every certification issued.
