Trust & Verification

Oaths.co.za™ is built on multiple independent layers of verification, certification, and audit to support trust in every certified document.

Your identity documents are among your most sensitive personal records. Our platform is designed to protect them through secure systems, verified professionals, and transparent processes, ensuring that every certification is supported by verifiable records and traceable audit data.

Why Oaths.co.za™ Can Be Trusted

Each certified document issued through Oaths.co.za™ is supported by:

  • Independent identity verification
  • Biometric confirmation of a real, live individual
  • Compliance and risk screening
  • Certification by a Commissioner of Oaths
  • Secure audit and verification records

These layers work together to enhance the reliability, traceability, and trustworthiness of certified documents. Verification is performed using proprietary processes designed to enhance trust, reduce fraud risk, and support compliance.

Layers of Trust

Human Certification:
Each document is certified by a duly appointed Commissioner of Oaths who applies independent judgment.

Identity Verification:
Identity is validated against official records and supported by biometric confirmation of the individual presenting the document.

Compliance Screening:
Verification processes include screening against relevant compliance and risk databases.

Audit & Traceability:
Every certification is recorded with secure audit logs and traceable verification data.

Real-Time Verification:
Each certified document can be verified in real time through OathsVault™, allowing its certification status to be confirmed at any time. This reduces reliance on static paper copies and enables up-to-date verification at the point of use.

How Verification Works

Each certified document includes a unique QR code. When scanned by a third party, it provides instant access to the OathsVault™ to confirm:

  • Certification details
  • Issuing Commissioner
  • Timestamp of certification
  • Current verification status

This allows banks, institutions, and third parties to independently confirm the certification status in real time, completely mitigating the risk of fraudulent paper copies.

Your Privacy & Platform Integrity

Oaths.co.za™ is designed to support the secure handling of personal information, compliance with applicable legal frameworks, and tamper-evident controls.

  • POPIA Compliant: Oaths.co.za™ strictly complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and is fully registered with the Information Regulator (Reg. No. 101393).
  • Secure Cloud Infrastructure: Documents are processed and stored using Microsoft Azure’s enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, protected by bank-level encryption and secure access controls.
  • Independent Security Verification: Our platform security is independently verified through TrustSite®, reinforcing transparency and trust.
  • Tamper-Evident Verification: Cryptographic document sealing together with OathsVault™ QR verification helps ensure that certified copies remain tamper-evident and verifiable.

Vetted Professionals & Verification Standard

Every certification performed through Oaths.co.za™ is executed by a Commissioner of Oaths in good standing with a recognized South African professional body. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for credential fraud, ensuring total compliance with the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oaths Act.

Real-Time Credential Authentication

To ensure absolute transparency, our credentials are encrypted, verified, and authenticated in real-time using PrivySeal®. This digital trust tool programmatically confirms active registration and compliance directly against professional body registries.

Our Launch Phase & Future Network

Oaths.co.za™ is architected to support vetted, independent Commissioners across the broader South African financial, legal, and wealth management sectors, including:

  • SAIPA – Professional Accountants
  • SAICA – Chartered Accountants
  • IRBA – Registered Auditors
  • FPI – Certified Financial Planners (CFP®)
  • Legal Practice Council – Attorneys and Advocates

Important Notice for Phase 1 Operations:
To ensure strict quality control and seamless system performance during our initial launch phase, all current digital certifications are personally processed and executed exclusively by our founder, a fully registered SAIPA Professional Accountant (SA).

As we scale over the next few months, we will systematically onboard verified independent professionals from our partner networks. Each Commissioner added to our registry will be individually vetted, PrivySeal-verified, and personally accountable for every certification issued.

Our Commitment

Trust should be clear, verifiable, and consistent.

Oaths.co.za™ exists to ensure that individuals and institutions can rely on certified documents that are lawfully issued, securely stored, and easily verifiable. Through verified Commissioners of Oaths, secure digital infrastructure, and transparent verification via OathsVault™, every certified document is supported by verifiable certification, secure storage, and real-time validation.
